Concrete manholes are used for building of electrical and other communication networks for protection and maintenance facilitation of junctional sections. Every product have a marking with a construction and reinforcement type and dimensions.

Manholes consists of two sections, lower and upper. Such sections includes horizontal surfaces and a halves of side faces. Upper section is provided with a latch opening with a diameter of 600 mm. Usually side faces are provided with a mounting eyes and rag bolts. There are different types of manholes. Depending on place of installation manholes can be L-type, straight-type and stationary. Stationary manholes are most common. Manholes can be rectangular, round or prismatic shape.

There are five basic models of reinforced concrete manholes: ККС 1, ККС 2, ККС 3, ККС 4 and ККС 5. The digit in the marking is designating a product size from small to bigger (1-5). Manholes KKC1 and KKC2 are rectangular shape, while KKC3,4 and 5 are octangular.

Digits 10 and 80 in the marking are designating mechanical stress that manhole can bear. 10 is for pedestrian areas, 80 is for traffic.

The M-Konstruktor plant is manufacturing a versatile moulds for cable manholes. The only difference between lower and upper sections is a latch opening so both could be fabricated in one mould using an opening former for the latch. The core of the manhole mould is welded to the pan. You can request for several pans with a core and one shell which is reducing your costs and facilitate production.

Demoulding in this case is carried out NOT by folding the sides, but by means of connectors in two diagonally located corners, which speeds up fabrication process and prevents damage to the products.

The manholes are fabricated using a versatile moulds with the detachable opening former for the latch or using the mould consisting of two sections: For manufacturing of manholes with a 'tower' we purposing a moulds with the detachable element which is mounted to the mould using the channel beam with a locks. External mould sides are hinged.

There are five basic models of reinforced concrete manholes: ККС 1, ККС 2, ККС 3, ККС 4 and ККС 5. KKC1 and KKC2 versions are rectangular shape, while KKC3,4 and 5 are octangular.

Versatile underground manholes of reinforced concrete are used in communications building. They are needed to provide a maintenance stuff access to communications, for piping connections or equipment mounting. Since such versatile manholes have to be very robust, durable, watertight and resistant to temperature and corrosion, strict requirements are applied to their manufacturing. Manufacturing of a versatile reinforced concrete manholes have to comply with GOST 8020-90 requirements. For an engineering communications building a heavy concrete with the reinforcing steel net of 1mm thickness is used.

Depending on the application there are several types of such concrete products:

• gully hole (ВС),
• sewer manhole (КС),
• water conduit well (BД),
• water or gas control manhole (BГ).

The gully hole is the solid drainage chamber with a bottom and through hole. There are three gully hole standard sizes: ВС-15, ВС-12, ВС-10. Water or gas control manholes are used in building of a gas or water lines. Unlike a gully holes they do not have an openings at the bottom.
