Steel moulds for the elliptical cross-section pipes (TPFe)

Steel moulds

Application

Non-pressure elliptical pipes (TPFe pipes) are reinforced concrete products with diameter of 2-3.5m and length up to 2.5 meters. These pipes are used for arrangement of drainage or sewage collection systems, underground communications and providing gravity flow of the domestic waste, rain or drainage waters.

The TPFe pipes are made of heavy type concrete. They have smooth surface and reinforced from inside. Due to the high-strength structure, such pipes are capable to withstand heavy soil loads, traffic vibrations or aggressive environmental loads.

High durability of the non-pressure elliptical pipes is achieved by means of supporting flange at the bottom. Before laying of such pipes, flat earth foundation should be ready. The depth of underground communications as well as manufacturing of TPFe pipes is the subject of GOST regulation. Such pipes a manufactured by vibratory casting method. The 'M-Konstruktor' company produce steel moulds for non-pressure elliptical pipes.

The structure of the pipe moulding plant

1
Stationary footing
It is used for the pan and the internal shell ring positioning.
2
Pan
It is a bottom moulding element aligning the outer shell ring.
3
Outer shell ring
Equipped with locks and guides for pipe dimensions control.
4
Internal shell ring
Equipped with moving cam with the hydraulics drive.
5
Moulding ring
Intended for the upper edge of the product moulding.
6
Cowl
Protects the internal space from the concrete mixture ingress and guiding the concrete mixture.
7
Hydraulic cylinders
Drives the cam inside internal shell ring.
8
Flow dividers
Provides synchronous operation of the cylinders.

Provides synchronous operation of the cylinders.
You can buy as the option the steam-jacket for concrete setting acceleration. The steam-jacket allows to heat the concrete and to achieve the stripping strength at site. You do not have to move the mould into the steam chamber.
Under regular operation and with timely repair the ''M-Konstruktor' steel moulds are capable to withstand more than 1000 operating cycles.

Manufacturing technology

1
Preparation of the mould
The mould is placed on the stationary footing fixed to the floor. Then the pan and the internal shell ring is placed using aligning bars. After that the outer shell ring is mounted to the pan using hinged locks. After fixing of the outer shell ring the vibrators are placed at 3 levels (lower, middle and upper) which provides gradual height-wise concrete setting.
The next step is the protective valve mounting. This valve prevents the concrete mixture ingress into internal space of the plant.
2
Filling
Filling the mould with concrete mixture comes with the corresponding levels vibrators starting, from the lower chord to upper. Leaving about 100 mm gap between the concrete mixture and the upper edge, the upper ring for the pipe edge moulding is mounted.
After filling of the mould with concrete mixture, the vibrators are dismounted and the mould is moving into the steam chamber.
3
Demoulding
Upon achieving demoulding strength, the mould is moved into demoulding section equipped with the hydraulics plant. The inner shell ring cylinders connected to this plant driving the cam of the internal moulder, reducing its cross-section. Then the internal moulder is extracted opening an outer moulder with locking screws. The product the is moving into finishing section.

Important: you do not need readjustable banding cross-pieces with different dimensions sets.
