The power transmission line pole is a construction intended for supporting of electric wires, ground-wire cables, fiber optic lines and street lights at specified distance from the ground and from each other.
Line poles can be made of metal, reinforced concrete, wood or composite. The main benefit of reinforced concrete poles is durability, corrosion and chemical resistance. Their disadvantages are heaviness and handling vulnerability. Such pole are made of heavy type concrete with the prestressed reinforcement. The design choice depends on the wind load type and the height of the line.
The manufacturing process of reinforced concrete power transmission line poles using steel moulds is following: • Steel moulds for the line poles fabrication are treated with a special compound preventing the concrete sticking to the walls; • then the longitudinal and lateral reinforcement is layed into the pole mould and tightened using jacking cylinders or electrical heating; • After tightening of the reinforcement the pole mould is filled with concrete; • The concrete mixture then consolidating using immersion vibrator or vibration stands and after that the steel mould is moving into the steam chamber until achieving the stripping strength. If the mould is equipped with the steam jacket, then achieving the stripping strength is accelerated by hot water or steam; • After the stress relief of the reinforcement its time for demoulding and cleaning.
Types and features of the 'M-Konstruktor' steel moulds for the line poles
The 'M-Konstruktor' company produce steel moulds for the pole lines of different length and types. Such pole moulds allows to fabricate poles of types VS, SV, SNV, SN and USO made of vibrated, prestressed or tightened reinforcement concrete Also it allows to fabricate so called attachable or supporting poles. The 'M-Konstruktor' steel moulds are multi-slotted and having from 2 to 6 sections. The equipment can be provided with steam or water jacket as option.
All welding seams on surface of the 'M-Konstruktor' steel moulds are carefully cleaned which provides concrete products of perfect quality and without chipping. Considering these moulds have to withstand the tightening stress of reinforcement, our engineers are calculating all types of loads and only after that choose the material for manufacturing. This excludes arching of mould due to the tightening stress and provides easy demoulding of the finished product.
The 'M-Konstruktor' steel moulds are easy for handling and placing into the steam chamber as well as for stacking. The manufacturing of the power transmission line poles is a subject to GOST 25781-83 regulation.
Versions
Series VS, SV, SNV, SN, USO.
It is possible to fabricate supporting poles, multi-slotted steel moulds with 2-6 sections, and with optional equipment such as the water or steam jackets.
Manufacturing technology
The manufacturing process of reinforced concrete power transmission line poles using steel moulds is following:
1
Mould preparation
Steel moulds are treated with a special compound before filling.
2
Laying of reinforcement
The longitudinal and lateral reinforcement is layed into the pole mould and the longitudinal reinforcement is tightened using jacking cylinders or electrical heating.
3
Filling
After tightening of the reinforcement the pole mould is filled with concrete.
4
Сonsolidating concrete
The concrete mixture consolidating using immersion vibrator or vibration stands.
5
Steam treatment
Upon achieving the stripping strength the steel mould is moving into steam chamber.
6
Achieving the stripping strength
If the mould is equipped with the steam jacket, then achieving the stripping strength is accelerated by hot water or steam.
7
Demoulding
After the stress relief of the reinforcement its time for demoulding and cleaning.
